I have a serious question for fellow believers How can I let go of guilt from the sins of men? Im not a believer, but I was raised Muslim, and recently I realized I've had trouble letting go of guilt in doing things because they were considered sins in my previous faith. For example, I went to Bourbon Street today (I live in New Orleans) and c was this place that offered Live Sex Show, and I was really curious to see what it was like the naked people in real life . The guy at the door was really nice and he wanted me to go without cover charges, and I certainly had the money and went inside couldve But for some reason I felt it was wrong, and I stuck to the souvenir shops and has not yet go to one of the strip clubs. And tomorrow, I'm going to challenge myself to eat a ham sandwich. (Salami forbidden in Islam). But what will probably happen is I'm going to look nervously for hours, poking and crazy thoughts like me, choking to death on sandwich that my family and find out, etc. etc. I'm sure many of you are going to tell me to grow a pair, and thats what Im trying to do, too. But how do I overcome these feelings of guilt and loosing?
